⚽ Mid Cheshire Division 4 – Match Report
📍 Saturday 8th November – 11:00 Kick-off (Away)
🆚 Bollington United U12 Jaguars
📊 Final Score: Bollington 1 - 0 TFC U12 AFC
Before kick-off, both teams came together to observe a minute’s silence in honour of Remembrance... Sunday - a moment of reflection and respect, beautifully observed by players, coaches, and supporters alike. 🌺
On the pitch, it was a frustrating result in a game where we more than matched the hosts and created a wealth of chances. Despite strong performances all over the pitch, we just couldn't convert our pressure into goals - and a single first-half strike ultimately decided it.
🧤 Player of the Match:
Milo de Courcy – Calm, composed, and energetic in both defence and midfield. A real standout throughout his 53 minutes 👏
🎯 Match Highlights:
Early intent from Josh Knight with a shot on target inside the opening minute
Big defensive shifts from Vinnie Naylor, Evan Lawrence, and Sam Wilson
Ray Bourne outstanding again with multiple saves
Threat going forward from Conrad, Finlay Carter, Fraser, and Fairbrother
Midfield drive from Milo, who set the tempo throughout
It was one of those days - loads of positives, just not the result. But the boys played with heart, togetherness, and no shortage of quality.
We go again. 💙

Match Report U16 Titans:
Away today, but not far, over to Weston Park to face some familiar faces against Hurdsfield in the County Cup.
After a minutes silence to remember those who sacrificed so much, and a respect handshake between the sides, we got underway.
Starting... brightly after some end to end action, Tytherington took the lead when Short put Wadsworth in to score our first. On a soggy, small pitch and with a really compressed game, we played some superb football, a real credit to the lads. Hurdsfield then scored from a free kick just before half time to give a stalemate at the break. More Tytherington dominance in possession didn’t bring any more goals until we changed the formation to push another player into midfield and one more into the front line, which immediately had the result of another Short assist for an Adams goal to give us a 2-1 lead and then Knight put Adams in again for a 3-1 win. Into the next round and a good local derby. Adams man of the match. Well played Tythy.

U9 Elites – MYSL Christmas Cup
The boys went into their final group game of the MYSL Christmas Cup sitting comfortably in 3rd place, looking to finish strong before heading into the knockout stages.
Before kick-off, both teams observed a two-minute silence for Remembrance Day a... special and respectful moment from all involved 🌹
From the first whistle, the Elites started fast, pressing high and moving the ball with real intent. Their early pressure paid off when Louis struck the opening goal, firing the team into the lead.
The opposition responded well, pushing forward and keeping Mason and Benji busy at the back. With Jack putting in a shift in midfield – breaking up play and driving the team forward – the boys held their lead.
A free kick on the edge of the box gave the Elites another opportunity, and Arlo made no mistake curling the ball beautifully into the top corner to double the advantage.
The tempo then shifted, and the opposition hit back with two quick goals before the break to level things up.
After half-time, the boys looked to regain control, but an early goal from the opposition put them 3–2 behind. However, the last 10 minutes saw a real resurgence – smart passing, great movement, and plenty of chances created, but the equaliser just wouldn’t come.
Throughout the match, Wilson and Reece worked tirelessly on the wings constantly taking on defenders, with attempts to drive the team forward, never giving up.
With only minutes to spare, a superb move starting from the back worked its way through midfield then to Arlo, who took on his defender and calmly slotted home into the bottom corner to make it 3–3.
A strong performance full of effort, teamwork, and determination – great character shown to fight back and finish the group stage on a high!
⭐ Man of the Match: Jack for great work rate, strong in the tackle, supporting both defence and attack, and causing constant problems for the opposition. Brilliant effort all round!

Match Report: Holmes Chapel Hurricanes Red U12 2 – 2 Tytherington Rovers U12
League Match – 8th November 2025
Tytherington Rovers extended their unbeaten league run with a dramatic 2–2 draw away at Holmes Chapel Hurricanes Red. Coming into their fifth game of the season with... a perfect 100% record, Rovers showed great resilience to fight back twice in a hard-fought encounter.
Strong start, but frustration at half-time
Rovers began the game superbly, dominating possession and pinning Holmes Chapel back in their own half. The early pressure was relentless, with several half-chances created and the hosts struggling to clear their lines. Against the run of play, however, Holmes Chapel took the lead after a scramble in the box saw the ball bundled over the line.
Rovers regrouped quickly and worked hard to get back into the game. Their persistence paid off when Hall finished neatly from a Mills assist to level the score. Before the break, Rovers had strong appeals for a penalty waved away and also saw a goal ruled out for offside — heading into half-time disappointed not to be in front after a dominant first 30 minutes.
Second-half battle and late drama
Holmes Chapel came out firing after the restart, putting Rovers under waves of pressure. The home side eventually regained the lead, capitalising on a spell of sustained possession to make it 2–1.
Rovers, however, refused to give in. It wasn’t until the final 10 minutes that they began to turn the tide, pushing Holmes Chapel back and creating chances of their own. After repeatedly trying to spring the offside trap, Rovers were rewarded with a free-kick around 15 yards outside the box.
Up stepped Knight, who strode forward from the back and smashed a superb strike into the far post — almost a carbon copy of his goal the previous week — to bring Rovers level at 2–2 with minutes remaining.
Rovers piled on the pressure in search of a winner, but despite their late surge, time ran out before they could complete the comeback.
Full-time thoughts
While disappointed not to secure all three points, Rovers can be proud of their spirit, resilience, and ability to dig deep when it mattered most. The draw keeps their unbeaten league record intact and shows once again the fight and quality within the squad.
Man of the Match: Bevan – for a tireless display at left-back, standing strong under pressure and supporting the attacking play with energy and determination.
Tytherington FC U7’s Rovers – Match Report
For once, we enjoyed a nice dry game of football!
Up against a strong opposition, we found ourselves 4–0 down at half-time. But every single player dug in and showed fantastic determination. Oliver was rock-solid at the back, ...bossing the defence, while Sam drove the team forward with his relentless tackling and boundless energy.
We created some great chances in the second half and managed to pull two goals back — well done to Sam for a quality finish, following a brilliant assist from Reuben!
A massive thank you as well to Jim and the players he brought over from his team to help us out after their own game earlier in the day — much appreciated!
And finally, a big shoutout to Nico, who played the whole game in goal and made some absolutely brilliant saves 💪
Player of the Week: Oliver – an absolute rock in defence today 💪💪
U9s 1987s Whites (Playing Up in U10s)
What a sensational performance from the boys yesterday and a well-deserved clean sheet to top it off!
Hugo was outstanding in goal, pulling off some epic saves throughout the game, backed up by a rock-solid defence that held strong from start ...to finish.
The midfield showed brilliant work rate dropping back to support the defence when needed, then driving forward to link up with the attack. Our wingers and strikers did exactly what they’ve been training so hard for, pushing forward with confidence and sparking some great attacking play.
Overall, it was a superb all-round team performance. The combination play we’ve been working on in training is really paying off we’re seeing the progress week after week!
MOTM: The entire squad – every single player was a superstar and made us all incredibly proud! 💪⚽️
Lastly a big thanks to Citygrove for your sponsorship this season Benjamin Robinson
Louis ⚽️⚽️
