**Match Report - Witton Albion Warriors U12s Vs Tytherington FC Rovers U12s**

An early morning start saw Rovers entertain Witton Warriors in their second league game of the season following an unbeaten start across the cup and league.

The game started at a frantic pace and it was ...clear this was going to be a close, competitive match. The action was end to end and Russon was called upon to make a number of key saves.

As the match approached half time, the outstanding Murray collected the ball inside his own half and went on a mesmerising run that saw him beat two players and cross superbly for Burrows to take a touch and blast the ball high into the roof the net.

With a 1-0 lead at half time the message was clear…. The team that wanted this the most would win.

The second half was as all about grit and determination. The tackles were flying in and individual duals all the over the pitch had to be won.

The ref blew the final whistle and a hard thought 1-0 win was gained. Outstanding display of teamwork and camaraderie from all the lads!!

POTM: Murray - A rock at the back and influential when stepping forward.

Match Report U16 Titans:

The County Cup and a trip over to Chester to play Christleton. We had a few players either unfortunately injured or away and went with a skeleton team with one sub, so we made it clear to the lads that they had a lot of work to do and to work smart, as well as ...hard. We set the team out for a balanced start as we had no real knowledge of our opponents. Things were made easier by Adams and Short both scoring early to give us a 2-0 lead followed by Ruben, so a comfortable lead but the home side wanted their say and also scored to make it 3-1 before half time. The passing and movement was superb as was the effort and everyone played their role perfectly. Into the second half and the home side to their credit never gave up, coming back to 3-2, before Adams made it 4-2. The home side bagged another to make it 4-3 but Tytherington kept things solid at the back and kept possession confidently enough to see the game out. A great game in good spirits and we are in the next round. Great effort with minimal numbers and Man of the Match went to Simmons. Superb performance lads. On to the league cup next week.
