Team Description:
Managed by John Cooper, and his coaches Ben Meggitt and Kirsten Hough, and underpinned by an incredibly supportive group of parents, the core of the U14s AFC have been together since the 5v5 days of Under 7s, adding players as we’ve moved through the age groups. Originally playing with another local club, we joined TJFC in 2021 wanting to be part of a vibrant and forward-looking club.
This is an incredible group of boys and it’s been fantastic supporting them in their footballing journey – watching them grow as individuals and as a team. Always in contention for league and cup honours at the end of the season, they are a really competitive group with an incredible team spirit built hard work and togetherness.
With each player bringing their own skills and personality to the squad, the U14s AFC are a shining example of the team being greater than the sum of its parts, and they look forward to competing at the top of their leagues and the sharp end of trophy competitions in the seasons to come – making memories, building enduring friendships, and developing the skills that can last a lifetime.
